"The horses are not moving forward, your grace," Fairol reported. Duke Niffe looked ahead, silently observing the perimeter of the red light.

This hasn't happened before. In his previous life, no appearance of the red light had occurred in this gap of time. Did it really change? The flow of what's happening now didn't occur in the past. Then, he remembered what Angel Clyde said when he was in the rebirth's lair.

"Rebirth souls are given an option before choosing to be reborn. The past, the present, or the future. In any of these three options, the soul can choose which world they want to be reborn into. And there are cases where two rebirth souls choose the same past, the same world. If they coexist in that same timeline, then either chaos or peace will be seen."
