Chapter 78. Alpha Maxima

A person in a cloak sneaked out from the Maiden's Lair and walked toward the forbidden place within the Maiden's Forest. It was pitch dark, and the noise from the people outside the gate echoed clearly in the stillness. Their sounds were filled with panic, and even the red light that once illuminated the sky was now gone.

When the cloaked figure reached the line of trees that resembled a fence, he cast a spell. A formation of stars appeared within a circle of green light emanating from his hands. As the spell took effect, the center of the tree line parted, revealing a gap and allowing him passage. Inside the gap, a portal suddenly opened. He went in and found himself in a grand hall. The walls were adorned with the symbol of their group—a crest of an eagle, wings spread wide, talons gripping a sword. The symbol was prominently displayed above the entrance, a powerful reminder of their unity and purpose.
