Chapter 37
“You have had dinner?” James asked.
I pursed my lips and shook my head, “No, I haven’t eaten anything. Why?” I asked again
“Why don’t you eat something? How about we go out to eat together tonight?” James asked, inviting me to go with him.
“I lost my appetite. I didn’t want to eat anything. “I’ll drink three more glasses of wine and go straight to my room,” I said again.
“No, you can’t,” James took my wine glass and put it on the table.
“James, don’t act like this. I don’t want to eat anything, and I just want to relax at home with a glass of wine. Why do I have to eat dinner?” I asked, muttering spoiled to him.
“You must eat. “I don’t want you to get sick; don’t let that bastard make you suffer physically,” said James.
After spending time deep in conversation and empathy with James, he held my hand tightly with genuine concern. His warm smile appeared on his caring face, giving me the feeling that I was not alone in facing this sadness.
