Chapter 16. He’s My Dad’s Best Friend

Mattias’s POV

I needed to know her response. I wanted to know if she wanted to be my girlfriend. But Lucas… he came in and ruined the moment.

I got up from my knees, my eyes locked with Lucas’s. I walked past him, brushing my shoulder against his, letting him know he had pissed me off.

He followed behind me, shutting the door.

We both went into my office. I walked in first, followed by him. I didn’t even make it to my seat or turn around to face him.

“What is it that you wanted to tell me?” I asked.

“Uhm, I would like you to take a seat first,” he said to me. I raised a brow.

“I choose to stand. And who are you to tell me what to do? It seems you are forgetting your place, right?” I said to him, feeling anger slowly buil
