Chapter 16. He’s My Dad’s Best Friend

Mattias’s POV

I needed to know her response. I wanted to know if she wanted to be my girlfriend. But Lucas. He came in and ruined the moment.

I got up on my knees, my eyes locked with Lucas’s. I walked past him, brushing his shoulders with mine. Letting him know he got me pissed.

He followed behind me, shutting the door closed.

We both got to my office. I walked in first, followed by him. I didn’t even get to my seat or turn to him.

“What is it that you wanted to tell me?” I asked.

“Uhmm, I would like you to take a seat first,” He said to me, I raised a brow.

“I chose to stand, and who are you to tell me what to do? It seems you are forgetting your place right?” I said to him, I could feel anger slowly building inside of me.

Lucas cleared his throat. He slipped his hand in and out of his hair, before parting his lips to speak.

“Shimma, who is she? And why were you squatting in front of her?” Lucas asked. I held my words fo
