Chapter 21. Eyes Watching

Seeing Jackson walk down the stairs, he nods towards me.

“I am off with Jackson. I will be back down soon.”

She looks at me and rolls her eyes at my words. She assumes I am going upstairs with Jackson, but has no idea others will be there watching. Hugging her, I walk towards Jackson. His hand wraps around my waist.

“Are you sure you want to do this?”

No, I am not 100% sure but I do know that right now the need for it is here, and if I walk away from this without trying, I will hate myself.

“I am sure.”

Looking at him, I smile, trying to reassure him I am ready.

“Okay, well, let’s discuss what will happen so you are ready.”

Getting into the room, it is empty. Sitting, he talks me through everything. It all seems fine to me.
