Chapter 87

Selena woke up groggy. It took her a moment to recognize her environment, thankfully her male had drawn the curtains so the room was not too bright for her senses that seemed overloaded at the moment. Then she shot up in bed, the events of the previous came rushing back to her.

Her hand flew to her neck and she made contact with a bandage. She immediately scanned the room for her male and her heart rate skyrocketed when she saw him seated at a corner of their room. The distance between them seemed wrong, unnatural. Selena had an itch to fix it, but as she approached her male she could read from his posture that he was not going to be welcoming her into his arms with hugs and kisses.

Selena decided to replay the events of the previous day so she would know how best to approach her male. The distance was not settling with her at all. It was not just the physical distance but the mental one as well, her male was looking at her with vacant eyes.
