Chapter 138

“Oh!” She yelped, her heart skipping a beat. 

“Mom, I didn’t do it. I swear to you, I didn’t do it,” Clary cried, taking a glance at the body of the guard on the bathroom floor. 

“There’s a dead body on the floor of the bathroom, if you didn’t do it, who did?” Sarah tried to be brave, she walked closer to the body and examined it. She could see that the person was already dead, there was nothing she could do to help. 

But she noticed a few things, the body was mauled. It looked like a werewolf attack. 

“I saw a vision!” Clary exclaimed. She was trying her best to get her mom to believe that she was not a monster. “Star appeared to me! He–he told me that even though he was dead, he was still going to execute his plan.” 

Sarah was now even more confused. “Okay, slow down. Can we first deal with the fact that a dead person is on your bathroom floor?” She walked away from the body and close the distance between her daughter and her. <
