Chapter 140

She knew that what she had predicted about Selena had come to pass. 

“Clary, get back into the room,” Sarah said to her daughter, trying her best to protect the omega, feeling guilt deep down that it was her fault. Maybe she shouldn’t have trusted Selena. 

The officer walked past Sarah and pushed her aside, aggressively grabbing Clary’s arm and pulling her out of the room. 

“Mom,” Clary cried in a soft and shaky voice. “Mom, help me!” 

“Leave my daughter alone!” Sarah exclaimed, trying to help Clary, but the other officers had already gotten a hold of her, giving Sarah no chance to do anything. 

Selena watched the scene with a smile on her face. She felt a satisfaction fill her up and deep inside, she was hoping that Clary would get hit in the stomach by one of the officers.&
