Chapter 28

Tears rolled down Clary’s face as she saw the look on Selena’s face. She played with her fingers in nervousness as she waited for a reaction. 

Selena shook her head slowly and then chuckled without humor before replying to the omega, “You’re lying. You’re freaking lying.” Her voice was soft and her throat was already getting dry. 

Clary began to sob. “I’m sorry, I’m really sorry. I…” She sniffled before continuing. “I really tried to get him to reject me, I swear to you. But he, um…he kept getting closer to me and things happened so fast.” 

Selena smiled sadly and nodded as a tear rolled down her face. She grabbed it quickly and cleared it away. She was not going to let the omega see her cry. “Where is he?” She asked in a low tone before walking away. 

Clary followed her but she had taken her attention off the omega already. She was heading upstairs, going straight for their bedroom. 

“Where is he?!” Selena’s voice echoed in the house
