Chapter 36

Tears rolled down Selena’s cheeks and she wiped them away quickly, not wanting to show to the omega that she was weak. But she knew that when she would go back to Mr. Clark’s mansion, she would cry her eyes out. 

Selena looked at Gus and exhaled deeply. “Take me back home, please.” 

Gus nodded but hesitated. He nodded toward Clary and asked, “And her?” 

“She would find her way home. She’s not riding the same car as me.” 

“But ma’am, she does not know where we are,” Gus tried to advocate for Clary. 

“Gus, I said get in the car!” Selena snapped. “If you don’t want me to kill her, you would take me as far away as possible from her right this moment.” 

Gus nodded and apologized. He walked towards the car, opened the door for his boss, and shut it when she was inside. He glanced at Clary who was already crying. “I’m sorry,” He mouthed to her and then proceeded to get into the car. 

Clary still had the test in her hand,
