Chapter 136
The sounds of forks and knives gently hitting plates were heard in the dining area as everyone ate. Well, everyone but Liam, detective Stone, and me. From the floor-to-ceiling windows not far from where we were, I could see that it was starting to snow again.
But the cold was the least of my worries right now.
As I said, I did not have any appetite, I needed to know where the detective was going with this. So I paid not much attention to the wonderful dish in front of me, even though I enjoyed chef Gus’s meals a ton.
This was not good for Liam or me. They had found the car's make and model; to make matters worse, only three people including Liam had that kind of car registered to them.
It was only a matter of time before they had him questioned. In fact, sooner than later.
