My heart was pounding and my palms were sweaty. Anxiety tortured me and as much as I tried, I could not swallow up my nerves. 

Zayn and I led the detective into the house as breakfast was being served by the helpers. Friendly chatter could be heard and the chandeliers hanging emitted light gracefully even though it was in the day. 

Serenity and the others were already at the dining table. Only Liam and the kids were missing. But right now, I was more focused on the major development that the detective talked about earlier on the porch.
