Chapter 140

The road had an eerie feel. 

Trees were on both sides and the snow falling made it look more creepy. Zayn drove us a bit deeper and soon came to a stop. He parked off the road and unlocked the car. 

He sighed and looked at me. “Are you alright? You look spooked.” 

I smiled faintly. “It’s just that this place got chills running down my spine.”

He chuckled lowly and opened his side of the door. “Don’t let Zoe get to your head. There are no such things as ghosts so this road can’t possibly be haunted.” He got out of the car.

I opened my side of the car and stepped out. “You’re a demon. You didn’t grow up in Beacon so I understand your lack of belief or fear.” I brushed some strands of my hair behind my ears. “So many people have gone missing here. You don’t even know half of it.”
