Chapter 149

When I reached the guest room, I knocked on the door a few times but no answer came. I proceeded to knock again but I was met with the same result: no answer. So I decided to open the door. 

“I’m coming in! Please don’t be naked!” I said in a mildly loud voice as I turned the cold knob of the door. When I swung it open, I was met with an empty room. “Liam?” I called out his name as I walked in. 

I continued to call out his name as I searched the room and then the bathroom for him, but found no luck. He was not there. But where could he be? I saw him get down from the car when Ashton drove us into the compound. 

I sighed lowly and pulled my phone out of my pocket. The facial recognition on the device scanned my face and the phone unlocked. I then dialed Liam’s number and it rang for the longest without him picking up. 

With worry filling me up slowly, I headed out of the room and walked back downstairs. I ran into Julia on my way out of the house.
