Chapter 9

“Hi Levi, how are you?” Selena greeted Levi when she and Ace reached the table. 

Levi stood to his feet and gave her a hug and when they broke the hug, he proceeded to talk with Ace, leaving Clary with Selena. 

“What the actual crap?” She asked Clary as she stared at her in bewilderment. “You disappear for almost an hour and this is where we find you?” She kept her voice low and her composure, even going as far as faking a smile when someone would look at them. 

Clary stood to her feet and apologized quickly. “I’m sorry. When the driver dropped me off, Levi helped me ease in. You can ask him, I kept looking around for you and Ace but I had no idea where the both of you were,” She explained. 

“Just shut up. Shut up and stay quiet,” Selena said to Clary in a stern tone and then placed her focus back on Levi and Ace.
