Chapter 11

Everyone stared at Mr. Clark, waiting for him to tell them what the way out was. The room was quiet and there was a strong sense of anticipation swirling in there. 

“Let me guess, Levi wants me to crawl on my belly and kiss his feet?” Ace asked sarcastically. 

“Now is not the time for sarcasm,” His wife scolded him, and he scoffed lightly before looking back at Mr. Clark. 

“Boy, it’s much easier than that. But we would have to meet Levi in the other room. He told me that he would like to be the one to tell you guys the way out. Hmm? Sounds good? Who am I kidding, it’s not like you guys have a choice,” Mr. Clark said and then laughed. 

Mr. Clark turned away and walked towards the door, opened it, and stepped outside. 

Everyone else scurried to their feet, including Clary. They all followed Mr. Clark and soon reached another room. Two guards were standing at the door. The guards opened the door and allowed everyone but Clary to enter.&nb
