Chapter 50. A Gentleman's Agreement
Kendrick's POV
Wednesday evening
How to argue with a wolf-like mine? I didn't want to feel this desolate and hopeful at the same time. Erick dismissed me a bit after one of the most difficult conversations I have ever had in my life.
I went back to my office, even though my personal life is messed up I still have to fulfill my role as Alpha, there were people from my pack out on a mission. I need to make sure that they fulfill it without casualties.
I entered the office, but even before I opened the door I knew that things would get more complicated. Dylan's smell is strong and unmistakable. As soon as I walked in and saw him sitting in the armchair in front of my desk, with a glass of drink in his hand, I closed the door.
"Hope loves you."
I widened my eyes, taken aback. I hadn't expected a statement like that, much less coming from Dylan. I simply stood still in place, even Night was dizzy, happy, but dizzy.
