Chapter 47
Autumn’s POV
I entered the bar where Jasmine was performing. I sat on a chair near the stage and watched Jasmine sing.
“Good evening, everyone who’s broken-hearted! Oh dear, it looks like there are a lot of broken hearts tonight,” Jasmine smiled at me, and I smiled back, “This song is for the ones who have been left behind. Those who were promised, but it’s as if the promises were just spoken into thin air; as time passed by, it seems the promises vanished.”
The band began playing the instrumental. I, on the other hand, simply gazed at Jasmine… I felt like crying. It seemed like Jasmine was about to perform another of her original songs. I wasn’t familiar with the arrangement of the instrumentals either.
“The emotions surged as I drew near,
Playing the moments, the memories dear.
Promises faded, their echoes unclear,
The love that once flourished now seemed austere.
