Chapter 15
“It won’t work,” Greyson said and took his phone out, texting on it as he spoke to Brooklyn. “Harry is an angry person. You don’t want to hide from him. You’ll anger him.”
“W-What? H-How—”
“I’m giving you a tip, Brooklyn. It’d be wise to listen to me.” Greyson didn’t even look up from his phone as he spoke. He almost sounded bored.
“I don’t want to listen to you, or Harry, or anyone!” Brooklyn exclaimed. “Just stay away from him.”
“The closer you get to him, the worse he will get,” Greyson shrugged. “Make it easy on yourself. Just accept it. Give in.”
“No,” Brooklyn muttered. “I’ll fight it. I’ll fight him.”
‘Game on, babe,’ Harry said, but in Brooklyn’s panicked state, she didn’t realize that Harry wasn’t even there. He was still in the classroom.
Yet his voice was loud and clear in her head.
