“Brooklyn, I don’t think that’s the best idea right now. You need to calm down,” Harry tried to reason with her.
“I’m calm! I’m super-duper calm! As calm as I can be, knowing there’s a werewolf hunter out there!” Brooklyn said and took a deep breath.
“And I’m the one who won’t be calm letting you leave, knowing there’s a werewolf hunter out there,” Harry said.
“I’ll open my mind,” Brooklyn said. “I won’t block you out. You’ll be able to check that I’m okay.”
Harry narrowed his eyes. “You won’t?”
“No, but you aren’t going to be in my head constantly,” Brooklyn said. “If I feel you for more than a few minutes at a time, then I’m blocking you. Okay?”
Harry pursed his lips and nodded. “Okay, get your things.”
