Chapter 113. On a Mission

The night sky was aglow with bright city lights. The pale crescent moon shone like a silvery claw in the night sky. Alana was busy getting ready for the evening party. With what was happening, she knew any better than to go. It was clear that Marcela was clueless about Joslyn and her family.

“Done,” she muttered and stood in front of the mirror. The dress came out nice, although she didn't know if she overdid the make-up and hair. However, she was ready to go.

“Alana, are you ready…meet me downstairs," there was a knock on the door, and it was Ricardo.

“Sure, I'll be down in a minute!” She shouted back and hurried to get her purse and do some final touches. She had locked herself in her walk-in closet while Ricardo was getting ready in the bedroom.

Meanwhile, Ricardo was busy giving instructions to his men in the main hallway just by the stairs.
