Chapter 100
Thinking about Bella helped. Yesterday, cuddling, talking, it had felt like they were meant to be there, together. Like they were forging a connection - although truthfully, it almost felt like re-forging it. As if pieces were falling back into place.
The noise in the hall rose, making Alex look up and around to see what was going on. Two of the soldiers came over and they quickly had him moved next to the Wolf, kneeling at his side on a cushion while the Wolf stood in front of his desk at the center of the dais. It forcibly reminded Alex of Cora's visit. Adrenaline started to hum in his veins again, panic beginning to rise as he wondered if there was more to his and Bella's separation today.
