"Where the hell could he have gone?" Kai’s voice cut through the morning air as he paced the small cabin like a caged wolf.
I stared down at the mysterious map spread across the rough wooden table, my fingers tracing the intricate markings. "This appeared the exact same time you came in to tell us Slade disappeared. That can’t be a coincidence."
"Nothing’s a coincidence anymore," Kieran muttered, checking his weapons for the third time. "Not when it comes to him."
