Chapter 69. The Immobility Phase
For six days I remained immobile.
My father doesn’t understand how, but I do. When my body loses the will to move, it’s because I chose to disconnect from the world for a while. My mates back then in school hated it when I activated this mode and for that reason, I did it a lot, now it’s a part of me.
When I wouldn’t eat or drink, Kian called a doctor. He was a bit frightened when the doctor who had confirmed the death of my twin, walked in with her colleague. I learnt her name was Kelly, and for some reason, she didn’t spill my beans.
My mother came up to see me but Kian sent her away, stating that her presence wouldn’t help matters. My childhood bedroom now looks like the ward I stayed in after Richard abused me; it’s sickening.
