My girls dazzled in their togas. They kept it simple and traditional -- plain white sheets, but Jess put her seamstress skills to work and ensured that their outfits fit like second skins. Kat had bought fresh bay leaves and made laurel wreaths out of them. They kept their makeup natural, allowing their summer tans to provide alluring contrast to the brilliantly white sheets. Golden Roman-style sandals completed the look.
We were getting close to departure. After an afternoon filled with Aperol spritzes and smoking weed from the hookah, we gathered around the bar for starter lines of cocaine. I was in a distinctly partying mood and had just done two massive lines when the doorbell rang.
