Luna's POV

I prepared it overnight specifically for him. I put on gloves and pretended to be chilly so he wouldn't see my burnt palms. I put it in his mouth while it was cold, and he didn't react and ate it. I felt ashamed since he was watching how I performed. I'm hoping he recovers so we can go back to his mansion, but Wayne says he can't go until his wound is totally healed. Wayne stated that Adonis was obstinate and that his injuries could have become worse that is the reason I agree that we will stay.

"I must constantly be ill, or perhaps have an accident," he added, his voice raspy, as I dropped the spoon I was holding because of what he said. We both looked at the spilled food on the spoon when the spoon rang on the floor. My fingers trembled, so I placed the bowl of porridge on the side table first, fearing that it might fall as well. I caught the flowing water when tears fell down my legs.
