My whole family is sitting at the breakfast table. Leonas immediately ran to Audrey when he arrived yesterday morning. The shock of the injury is still in everyone's bones. I'm glad that Audrey has found friends who care about her so much.

After breakfast, Audrey goes to school. As soon as she leaves the house, the men clear the table and we ladies do the laundry or tidy up the house. My grandchildren do a little gardening.

As soon as Audrey gets home from school, it starts. The competition is tonight and we still have a lot of work to do. So the dresses are wrapped in tissue paper and then taken to the community center.

A stage has been set up there since the middle of the week and it seems like everyone from Saint Applejack and the surrounding area is planning to come.

Once we arrive at the community center, we are led to a fairly large room with tables chairs, and mirrors. The outfits are hung on clothes racks and then t
