Layla’s POV
By 7:30 a.m. Beverly and I walked into the airport lounge side by side, hand in hand. Beverly had asked me to put on some shades so nobody would be able to recognize me. I tried to tell her otherwise because the last thing I wanted was my dream coming true. I could not bear a de ja vu right now. Not the one as bad as Beverly getting shot in the back of the head.
I was able to pack a few clothes and other necessities into two traveling bags which Beverly helped me roll into the lounge. I was dressed in all black: a black button-down shirt and black leggings, a vintage scarf tied over my head and under my jaw, and my hair pulled back into a ponytail.
As we approached the desk, I was glad the women there did not look anything like the ones I had seen in my dream. That only meant the chance of my dream coming into reality was very slim.
