Chapter 137

Layla’s POV

It has almost been three weeks since I left Logan and two weeks since I’ve been ignoring the strange urge to find my parents. After the day I’d stumbled upon Ken at the shop and we’d shared coffee, the time when I’d searched about them on my laptop, I couldn’t stop thinking about them, wanting to go find them.

And after two long weeks of avoiding it, I’m finally tired of ignoring it. Right now I’m pacing my room, thinking about what to do. I’ve googled up the distance between here and my former home. It was long enough. I should be booking a flight for it but I knew I’d be spending too much money doing that so I resorted to taking a cab.

As I picked up a few things to travel with, my mind is occupied by thoughts of what and what I may likely see when I see my parents.

My mind is foggy with everything that happened that last time that I saw them.
