Layla’s POV

At that moment I contemplated going back to Utah first or not. I knew I still have just very few clothes there but I was most concerned about Ken. I hadn’t told him that I was leaving. And we’d only started bonding. He was like the only friend I’ve had after leaving Logan and it would be bad of me to just disappear and not tell him.

Oh well, perhaps we’ll meet some other time, somewhere out there in this vast world.

Logan’s POV

Two weeks of wait. Two weeks of devastation. Before Dylano finally opened his eyes again and returned to the living.

For two long weeks I've had to live in hopes that I see my brother again, that I get to see him one last time and let him know that I have never meant to kill him. And that just like it used to be when we were smaller, I will only always be his protector.

For two weeks I'd somehow managed to let go of controlling thoughts about Layla and worry about Dyla
