Layla’s POV
Every now and then, I would feel a wave of nausea, and I would turn my head to the side, trying not to throw up.
It was all too much, too overwhelming. But there was one thing that kept running through my mind…the one person I needed in this moment: Logan.
“Please… call Logan,” I whispered, my voice hoarse. “He’ll know what to do. He needs to be here.”
Andre hesitated for a moment, his brow furrowing as if considering the request. I could see the concern in his eyes, but I could also see the uncertainty. He knew what Logan was like.
He had seen the way Logan had been distant with me lately, the way he had pulled away. Still, Andre nodded and reached for his phone.
I watched him dial Logan’s number, my heart pounding with the hope that Logan would answer. I needed him. My body was failing me, and I couldn’t do this alone.
