Chapter 317
Layla’s POV
I didn’t even realize I was falling until I hit the floor.
“Layla! Layla!” Andre’s voice grew louder, more frantic. I could feel him shaking me, his strong hands trying to keep me conscious, but it was no use. Darkness was pulling me under, and I didn’t have the strength to fight it.
When I came to, I was lying on the couch in the living room, surrounded by a few of Logan’s men.
Their worried faces blurred together as I blinked, trying to make sense of what was happening. My head throbbed, and my body felt weak, like I’d been drained of every ounce of energy.
“Where... where am I?” I whispered, my voice barely audible.
“You’re still at the mansion,” Andre said, his voice soft but filled with concern. He was kneeling beside me, holding a damp cloth to my forehead. “You fainted, Ma’am. I had to call the doctor. He’s on his way.”
