But as I sat on the bed, staring at the picture of Logan as a child, I couldn’t shake the feeling that I was playing with fire.

What if Jaden’s plan backfired using this against me? What if Logan saw through the lie?

No. I couldn’t think like that. I had to stay focused. To stay one step ahead.

Taking a deep breath, I slid the photo back into the album and tucked it away.

For now, all I could do was wait.

I smirked as I stared at the photo Isabella had sent me. The boy I had in mind would be perfect…blonde hair, piercing eyes, just enough resemblance to pass as Logan’s son.

Of course, the real challenge would be keeping the boy in line. But I’d dealt with worse. A little bribery, a few threats, and he’d play his part perfectly.
