Isabella’s POV

He reached out, pulling me into a hug. “I’m more than happy. I’m grateful.”

As he held me, I couldn’t help but think about the files. They were locked away in his study, hidden behind a security system that I hadn’t yet figured out how to bypass.

If I didn’t act soon, Jaden would come after me, and the consequences would be disastrous.

But standing there in Logan’s arms, I felt a pang of something I hadn’t felt in a long time…doubt.

Can I really do this? Can I really betray him?

The boy’s laughter from earlier echoed in my mind, and I felt my resolve waver.

You have to, I told myself. You don’t have a choice.
