Isabella’s POV

Was he still pushing Logan to look for Layla? And if so, how much longer could I keep this charade going?

“Don’t wait up for me,” Logan said, leaning down to kiss my forehead. “I’ll probably be tied up with Dani for a while.”

I nodded again, watching as he left the room. The moment the door closed behind him, I let out a shaky breath.

Time’s running out, Isabella, I thought. You need to make a decision.

But as much as I tried to steel myself, I couldn’t shake the feeling that whatever choice I made, it would come at a price I wasn’t ready to pay.

As soon as Logan left the room, I sat frozen for a moment, staring at the closed door. My mind was a tangled mess of fear, guilt, and desperation. Jaden’s message replayed in my head like a haunting echo.
