Chapter 451
Dani’s POV
The darkness was suffocating. It pressed against my skin, heavy and unyielding, like a second layer I couldn’t shed. My eyes had adjusted long ago, but it didn’t make a difference.
There was nothing to see in this place except shadows and despair. I leaned my head back against the cold, damp wall, my body aching from the hard floor I’d been forced to sit on for what felt like an eternity.
I didn’t know how long I’d been here. Days? Weeks? Time was a blur in this prison.
There were no windows, no clocks, nothing to mark the passing of hours except for the faint hum of a distant generator and the occasional sound of footsteps outside the door.
My stomach growled, a painful reminder that I hadn’t eaten much…just scraps they tossed at me to keep me alive.
