Chapter 600
Logan’s POV
As the convoy pulled out of the estate, I glanced back at the house. Isabella was standing by the window, watching. Her arms were crossed, her expression unreadable.
I didn’t wave. I simply looked away and focused ahead.
This wasn’t a family trip. This was war. And I didn’t have time for distractions.
The night was thick with silence, except for the steady hum of engines and the occasional crackle of the radio inside the car.
I sat in the backseat, my mind sharp, scanning the expressway ahead. The streetlights cast long shadows, and every moving vehicle felt like a potential threat.
Carlos, seated in the passenger seat, kept his hand on his gun, his eyes darting between the side mirrors. "Boss, we’re all clear so far."
I nodded but didn’t relax. "Keep watching. If anyone even breathes wrong behind us, I want to know."
My men, spread across multiple cars in the convoy, were just as alert.
