Isabella’s POV
I thought of last night, standing in the shadows of Damien’s room, watching Logan kneel beside our son’s bed.
“I’ll be back soon, kid,” Logan had murmured, brushing his hand gently through Damien’s hair. “Take care of your mom, alright?”
Damien nodded, his eyes shining with admiration. “I will, Dad. Be careful.”
I had watched the exchange with a heavy heart, feeling like an outsider in my own family.
