Isabella’s POV
My heart stopped as I pulled out the contents. It was a stack of photographs. Thin, glossy paper that felt cold against my skin.
I looked down, my breath catching in my throat.
The first photo was of me. Standing on the rooftop of that hospital, my face contorted with anger, my hands reaching out.
No...
I flipped to the next photo, my body trembling. It was Layla. Her eyes wide with fear, her mouth open in a silent scream as she fell backward, her body tumbling through the air.
I choked, my hand flying to my mouth as bile rose in my throat.
No. No, no, no...
I kept flipping through the photos, each one more damning than the last. Layla’s body on the ground, lifeless and broken. Blood pooling around her head, her face pale and empty.
And then there was me again, standing over her body, my face cold and emotionless as I looked down at what I had done.
I felt my legs give out, my body crumbling
