Chapter 658

Jason’s POV

I felt my heart squeeze, a lump forming in my throat. I reached over, pulling him into a tight hug, holding him close. 

“I’m not sad, buddy. Not anymore. Not when I’ve got you.”

He giggled, wrapping his small arms around my neck. “I love you, Daddy.”

My chest tightened, my eyes stinging as I hugged him tighter. “I love you too, Little Jason. More than you’ll ever know.”

I pulled back, wiping my eyes quickly before he could see the tears. I had to stay strong. I had to be brave for him. No matter what was coming, no matter how bad it got, I couldn’t let him see me fall apart.

I took a deep breath, my thinking started hardening. Isabella might be digging for answers, but she wouldn’t get them. She wouldn’t get anywhere near my son. I’d make sure of it.

I started the engine, pulling out of the parking lot as my mind raced with plans. I’d have to move quickly.
