Jason’s POV

I never wanted to hurt him. But keeping him in his old school wasn’t safe anymore. Not with Isabella sniffing around. I’d do anything to keep her away from him…even if it meant breaking his heart today.

The car slowed as we approached the towering gates of the new school. I looked out the window, taking in the sprawling campus that stretched out before us. 

It was bigger than his old school, more secure, with tall fences and security guards at every entrance. Exactly what he needed.

Little Jason shifted against me, his eyes fluttering open. He sat up, rubbing his eyes before looking out the window. His body went rigid, his eyes widening as he took in the unfamiliar surroundings.
