Jason’s POV

There was a brief pause before he replied, “I’ve already started looking into it, sir. But I do have some information.”

I leaned forward, my heart pounding. “Tell me.”

“She was seen several times at Logan’s penthouse. Witnesses say she used to go there, banging on the gate, screaming that Logan’s wife, Isabella, had her son. She caused quite a scene, but the guards never let her in. They just chased her away every time.”

I felt my chest tighten, anger bubbling under my skin. Mrs. Caroline went to Logan’s house. She went there, desperate, fighting to get her son back. And Isabella… she must have been terrified. She must have known her lie was hanging by a thread.

I gritted my teeth, my mind reeling. Isabella must have realized Mrs. Caroline wasn’t going to stop. She must have known that eventually, Logan would listen. Eventually, the truth would come out.
