Layla's POV

She stuck out her tongue, undeterred as she took her first bite. Her eyes widened immediately, a soft moan escaping her lips as she chewed slowly. 

“Oh my God… this is heavenly. It tastes just like… just like…” She paused, her eyes sparkling mischievously. 

“Just like him.”

I choked on my water, nearly spitting it out as I burst into laughter. 

“Maddie!”

She grinned, completely shameless as she took another bite. 

“I’m serious. If this is what his food tastes like, imagine the man himself…”

I shook my head, trying to compose myself as I scooped up some of the seafood soup. 

The rich aroma hit my nose, and the moment the spoon touched my tongue, my eyes widened in surprise. It was incredible…flavorful, rich, and perfectly seasoned.

I looked up at Maddie, who was watching me with a knowing smile. 

“Told you, right? It’s magical.”

I couldn’t help but nod, r
