Liam's POV

I stood there for a moment, not sure of what else to say. Finally, I turned to leave, but before I did, I said, "And Maxine... Don't forget about the training."

She gazed at me with an unreadable expression. I know she might be wondering why I haven't talked about the baby. But then, She nodded, tears welling up in her eyes. I left the room, my mind a whirlwind of conflicting thoughts and feelings.

As the days went by, I watched over Maxine, making sure she was well taken care of but from a far distance. Clara continued to perform her duties diligently, but I could see that she didn’t have the same skills and strength that Maxine had. But she was trying. Trying to always make me happy, make me delicious foods. I must confess she's a good cook. But she wasn't so good in bed. I love how willing she was to learn and trust me I was coaching her well.

One even
