Chapter 93
Maxine’s POV
"I'm sorry, you startled me." I quickly apologized and crouched down to pick up the pieces of glass on the floor. I packed them up and threw them into the bin.
"You're so unaware of your situation that it irritates me," he said with a growl. I saw his eyes glow briefly and I froze, looking up at him. He looked away, rolling his eyes briefly in the process.
"I'm sorry, master," I apologize getting the broom and sweeping up the smaller pieces of glass.
"Why can't you shift into a wolf yet?" He suddenly asked. He sounded like he was curious.
"I don't know," I said, trying to keep the annoyance from my voice.
I asked myself this question many times and I still didn't have an answer. His asking me this, just reminds me too much of how incompetent I was as a werewolf.
"Come here," he said.
I left the kitchen and walked towards him. I stood in front of him, waiting.
"Sit," he instructed. I sat by his feet,
