The room fell silent as we all stared at Killian in disbelief. What I knew about Lovella Darkholden was limited, but even I understood the gravity of his declaration to kill her.

“You? A mere alpha?” Jett scoffed. “You think you can defeat the cruelest and most violent royal in existence?”

“Not alone.” Killian admitted as he shook his head. “I am not dumb enough to face such a monster on my own.” He revealed.

“Why aspire for such a goal in the first place?” Jormun asked as he glared at the wolf. His suspicion was written all over his face. Killian sighed as he pointed at me.

“Because I want to save Villi.” He stated. His brown eyes held a great sadness as he looked at me. “Even if I do not get to be her mate in the end…I still want Villi to live.” Jett and Jormun seemed to resonate with the wolf’s feelings.

“Well…” Jett huffed. “…it seems that even after being torn to shreds, Villi still has the unfortunate ability to make anyone fall in love with her.”
