Chapter 89
Jormun and I made our way to the dance floor, hand in hand. We did our best not to break character until we were far enough away from our group.
“I must admit I am pleasantly surprised that Killian let me dance with you,” Jormun commented as we stood before each other on the dance floor.
“I can say the same of your two dates,” I responded with more attitude than I meant to. It made the tall man chuckle.
“Are you jealous of them?” he questioned as he put his other hand on my hip and pulled me closer to him. “I thought you were above such feelings,” he teased.
“Perhaps you are just rubbing off on me,” I retorted. “You may be a master of hiding your true feelings on your face, but I can see it in your eyes,” I said as we began to waltz on the dance floor together.
“Killian is the only one of your pets I have any need for concern for,” Jormun reminded me as we moved gracefully together across the room.
