Chapter 20

ISABELLA

She is unresponsive at first, but seconds later she hugs me too and I take the opportunity to take one of the keys inside her apron pocket, I quickly put the key inside the pocket of my jeans watching her walk away and not noticing anything.

“See you tomorrow, Isabella!”, she says smiling before leaving my room and closing the door.

I hear her locking the door and sigh taking the other key from inside my pocket, I need to stay calm, and leaving this room at a time when there aren't many employees working at the mansion and in the middle of the night will be perfect.

I hide the key again and look at the tray of food on the table and I soon start eating my meal which is wonderful again, no one put anything in any food because I would surely feel the effects after all these hours.

After eating everything I go back to bed and continue reading the book to occupy my mind and kill time, a few hours pass and I see that it is very dark outside, I see th
