Chapter 96. Baring Feelings
Keratin got up early, earlier than every other person in the camp. Earlier still, than even before the sun crested. He hadn't slept a wink throughout the night and his body groaned from keeping it awake, but his mind—it raced a mile a minute. His thoughts were a riot. They did not give him a moment's respite.
He picked up his sword and walked away from the camp. When he knew he was a distance away, he removed his sword and began to jab at the air. He missed training with the other warriors. If he was to be honest, he missed normal mundane life when everything was fine and he did not have to chase an elusive object that would help save the various realms.
He sighed as he mechanically continued his jaunts. Back and forward he went, left and right he moved, until sweat gathered on his forehead and pooled onto his chest.
