Chapter 48
After meeting with Ritchum, Catherine started to ask herself about the types of men who came into her life, and everyone turned out to be a bastard after thorough consideration. She questioned how other people would perceive her appearance. Did she look cheap? Or was she a bastard herself?
She locked the door as soon as she was inside her bedroom in the boardinghouse, and went straight to bed. Catherine didn’t even bother to turn on the lights. Suddenly, she was tired and she felt drained. Before closing her eyes to sleep, she hoped that something good would happen to her soon.
She was still awake when the main door opened and she heard the voice of Jonas and he has company. The giggles and subtle laughs from his friends irritated her so that she had to press her ears at the wall to listen to them very well, and it turned out that the women who giggled were the transient boarders.
Her current bad mood has gotten worse because of Jonas. Catherine was perplexed
